Robust regional growth draws strong international appeal at wire and Tube Southeast ASIA 2013

wire and Tube Southeast ASIA returns to The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 17 - 19 September 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand. The trade fair provides an attractive focal point and springboard for local businesses and international companies seeking to broaden their export of wire, cable, tube and pipe products and technologies. Organized by Messe Duesseldorf Asia, over 400 companies will be exhibiting their latest innovations during the three-day event.

As ASEAN prepares for further development with a major line-up of infrastructural projects in the pipeline, the wire and tube industries remain strong through robust support from the region and around the world. Seven national pavilions and country groups from Austria, China, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA have secured participation to the event ahead of its staging in September.

Recognized as the industry's much-awaited trade fair for the region, wire and tube Southeast ASIA 2013 will outperform its successful edition in 2011 with higher profile exhibitors from big international companies, approximately 15% of whom are first-time exhibitors.

29 AUGUST 2012

Held in Bangkok for the whole of the ASEAN region the International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair for Southeast Asia will go into its 9th edition in 2013.

Says Beattrice Ho, Senior Project Manager at Messe Duesseldorf Asia: "Being the 9th event of its kind means not only that we have had plenty of opportunity to learn and gather experience. It also means that people from the industry have had the opportunity to benefit from it, they know what they can expect and why to participate. Plus there are all the new firms that enter the industry as it is expanding."

The event comes at a time when the region is pacing forward to become - with respect to their economy - one of the fastest growing ones in the world; projections speak of an annual growth rate of 7.6% for the next 10 years. The ASEAN region encompasses about 600million consumers from as many as 10 nationalities who become increasingly easy to reach as development and globalization advance rapidly.

21 SEPTEMBER 2011 - Final Press Report for wire and Tube Southeast ASIA 2011

wire / Tube Southeast ASIA 2011 sees double digit growth highlighting ASEAN's relevance to the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries

- Quality trade visitors up 20%

wire / Tube Southeast ASIA 2011 impressively confirmed its ranking as the region's leading platform for the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries with record figures of 392 exhibitors and more than 5,300 quality trade visitors from about 60 countries, of which some 40% came from outside Thailand. The exhibitions, which took place at BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre) from 13-15 September 2011, exceeded expectations once again with visitorship that saw an increase of 20% from 2009.

ASEAN visitors inclusive Thailand accounted for about 80% of the total visitor attendance, signifying that ASEAN buyers view wire / Tube Southeast ASIA 2011 as the leading forum for trade and business and the gateway to Southeast Asia for product distribution for wire, cable, tube and pipe sectors in the region. The strong visitor attendance, particularly from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and even India also further highlights the increasing significance of ASEAN as a 'collective whole' and dynamic common market moving towards a single economic community by 2015. "Thailand has progressed quickly in the past years and has the best market position in Southeast Asia to date", says Ferruccio Bellina, President of ACIMAF (Italian Wire Machinery Manufacturers Association).
